After 8 years, a new look

Had some feedback the other day, again, about folks not being able to subscribe to the blog. I think I've used up all my "I don't know how to do that" credibility and so finally took blogger's very persistent advice to update the site's template. 

Unfortunately, I lost much of what I liked about my sidebar (mostly the blogroll) and so will keep experimenting with how to bring that back in.

Good things the revision brings, though, include a link to subscribe (on the far right side) as well as being able to organize the layout to your own tastes (select one of the options under Magazine on top left corner).

IANAGD (I am not a graphic designer), though, so I will gleefully/willfully ignore any suggestions on how to make it even more confusing than it may already be. 

I'm also noticing that the site has a noticeable lack of images, so I'll work to correct that as time goes on.

Ed , check out your site on line, to the left is a menu selection of all layout sorts, the user can choose as they wish.
like pix? try on the snapshot layout

probably you can select one as the default
