OK, so the phone hacking scandal is getting far too juicy and I can't stand to sit and watch it from over here, so I'm heading over to the UK next week. (Actually I have some appointments related to Moving Image and such).
Bloggin' will most likely be difficult, but I'll see what I can do.
Try to keep James Murdoch out of jail ...at least until I get over there, will you?

Stay off the trains and busses.
Nah...used to live in London in the late 80's when the IRA was bombing left and right...only way to stick it to the bastards is to get back on with life as normal. Otherwise, they strike twice.
As somebody who still lives in London and personally heard two bombs go off nearby I totally agree with you re. the bombing.
I think the wall to wall non-stop news coverage on BBC News 24 might have stopped for now (sadly because of the Norway atrocities) - however reporters have now moved on to the Daily Mirror!
Not heard yet when they're reconvening the Select Committee for Tom Watson to take a second bite out of James Murdoch - but should be a riveting session - especially as Watson has just formally referred him to the Met. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/mp-contacts-met-over-murdoch-claims-2318751.html
