Louise Bourgeois, Rest in Peace

“The subject of pain is the business I am in,” [Louise Bourgeois] said. “To give meaning and shape to frustration and suffering.” She added: “The existence of pain cannot be denied. I propose no remedies or excuses.”

I love Louise!

I was sure she would make it past 100. Ah well. I hope her death wasn't painful, and I wonder what was the last work she ever made.

Goodbye Louise. Pain wasn't in vain: your work remains, you won't be forgotten,

Cedric
