Wish List Thursday
If necessity is the mother of invention, then why hasn't someone already invented the equivalent of ONIX feed technology for art galleries listings data?
I truly appreciate all the places it's possible to post your upcoming listings on the web, but it's getting to the point that we may soon need to hire an assistant who does little else.
I will give huge (seriously, like h1 header type)
No, there's no financial reward...you'll do it because you're an art lover, silly.
That's what I wish for today...you?

You'll do it because your a "patriot".
The best site would be one that listed every single, and I mean every single opening by state viewable by neighborhood or date, with an image posted next to it.
That site would be the most heavily viewed.
Off topic completely: you have to see this on McCain getting confused between Zapatero and Zapatistas!

Stefano, maybe McCain was tired? Wasn't that Obama's exuse when he declared that there are 57 states in the union, that there is a cure for HIV and when he called a concerned female worker "sweetie"? AND when he can't hear himself because his mic is out. Obama is a rambling idiot when he is not prompted on what to say next.
Anonymous, Stefano pointed us to a credible source for his McCain observation. Where are yours? Not saying you're remembering things incorrectly, but the "sweetie" comment is the only one I've heard before.

This a good look at the 57 states issues from both sides. Maybe he was just tired, maybe he was not. The point is that it is stupid to cling to every mess up or every act of confusion from McCain when Obama has made just as many mistakes. Looking up the HIV comment now.
Looks like the Obama HIV statement about taking your kid to the hospital so he can get cured from HIV is gone on youtube. That has happened often with Youtube. Pro life videos and anti-Obama clips are taken down all the time. In the speech his mic/prompter stopped working so he had to rely on his own words and it threw him off.
It was from this speech though,

surprised this has not been removed yet. I don't know about you but I don't fumble around like that if I've had little sleep. The news confirmed that his teleprompter was disabled. He may have been busy on the trail but maybe he has insomnia as well.
If you are lucky enough to find some of his public comments before he ran for election you will see how much he has changed since that time. He stumbled around at that time and had no where near the charisma he portrays today. It is an act. He probably has personality coaches.

Granted this is several clips from one speaking event edited together. If I came into your gallery and you asked me a question and I answered "uh..I..wha...minute.. I...a..ahu... whaa...just a..." you would think I'm on drugs. Obama is a horrible speaker without outside help. Admit it. JFK was a good speaker. Obama is no JFK.
I'll admit that all presidential candidates should be given some slack when it comes to gaffes on the campaign trail...they are out there none stop for months. I'll also admit that McCain probably does know the Prime Minister of Spain is not an enemy of the United States.
But Obama is better than JFK in my opinion. Obama wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth or a Dad who was an admiral, like McCain. Obama is a self-made man and that counts for a lot in my book.
I thought there WERE 57 states in the union.
I have a solution to the problem presented in the original post. Seriously. Contact me. I need help implementing it.
I've been meeting with another art calendar site about implementing this for ArtCal and others. I mentioned it was something you had brought up. It's coming!
Did you ever get this resolved? Is there a list of the listings folks that are the main contenders? I do this kind of work in my day job, I could at least investigate how hard it is...
