Chicago Debrief

Well, we're finalizing our packing and making some last minute visits, but overall Chicago was a huge success for us. We had a great time, placed some work in some excellent collections, and couldn't have felt better taken care of by the Art Chicago crew (thanks again guys...you rule!). Not everyone was happy with sales (we're heard folks did extremely well to sold nothing at all), but everyone I've talked to wants to come back next year.

I'll post a few pix in a day or so, but for now, let me shout out to Tony and David of Art Chicago who pulled off a small miracle with their teams. Also to our friends at Mixed Greens, Heather Marx, Von Lintel, Mark Moore, Roebling Hall, Priska Jusscka, Monique Meloche, Tony Wight, Gavi Kupta, Rhona Hoffman, and last but certainly not least Schroeder Romero galleries...we had an awesome time hanging with you. Met some great Chicago-based bloggers and readers as well (thanks for saying "Hi").

Special shout out to Lisa Dorin, Larry and Jenny for the lovely bottle of bubby ('twas my 21st birthday during our trip...yes, again...dammit) and to MAO and Kenny T for stopping by.

Next post from NYC.

Thanks for saying "Hi" back, Edward_. It was an adventure getting out of the hinterlands for the morning. I hope you did well and will be back next year.

I also did Art Chicago and had a good time there. The AC staff are quite refreshing after the hautiness of some show managements. Still need some better pull from outside the region, but I too have signed up for next year.
Happy belated B-Day, by the way.
