Oh, and Can I Just Say...

...there is hope.

Congratulations to the Dixie Chicks on their well-deserved 5 (count them)
FIVE Grammy awards.

To the country music industry insiders who worked so hard to blacklist them I say: "Welcome to America. I hope you like it here."

Oh...and BUY THE CD!

I really don't like country music despite owning Willie Nelson's Stardust on CD. But I love the Dixie Chicks for what they said and how they stood up through all the crap.

Also, "Sin Wagon" totally rules.

The girls were so great last night and Natalie looked fantastic.

Greater America has embraced them again but i expect country radio to still ignore them of course, ignorance rules.

not so sure, ondine...you can't ignore that kind of success without even your most ardent supporters seeing through your agenda...country music fans are also moving away from Bush, so...

country music fans may be moving away from Bush (some of them anyway) but country music stations are still owned by right-winger friends of Bush so guess which one has more sway?

Good point. I guess I keep hoping eventually even they won't be able to keep pretending he's anything more than an incompetent boob, but they've invested too much in him to do that, I suppose...in fact, that's probably the very reason they invested in him.
