Speaking of Weddings...

After the vote, Schwarzenegger spokeswoman Margita Thompson said: "The people spoke when they passed Proposition 22. The issue subsequently went to the courts. The governor believes the courts are the correct venue for this decision to be made. He will uphold whatever decision the court renders."Silly me, I thought in a representational government, we assumed the "people spoke" when their elected officials succeeded in passing a law fair and sqaure. For Arnold to rely on those "activist judges" to strike down this clearly legal advance for human rights is so beyond hypocritical, we need a new word for chutzpah.
What a girly man.

Sounds the same as conservatives going on and on about the "sanctity of marriage" and how it needs to be protected at all costs... unless you're Michael and Terry Schiavo.
Arnold is a very good example of what happens to "fiscal conservative/social liberals" when they are active in the Republican party. I actually really hoped he would make a difference.
Are you going to share the cake Edward?
it does look yummy, doesn't it.
I just want the crystallized roses and a finger full of frosting...you can have the rest.
LA artist, as I understand it from other blogs, there is actually some confusion about whether Prop 22 (?) had made what the Calif legislature just passed illegal...is that the issue?
NPR just did a piece and prop 22 seems to be his "wiggle room".
cowardly bastard should sign it anyway...if Prop 22 is upheld by the courts, then the pro-marriage side will need to undo it officially first and Arnold could say he stood up for their rights...
lousy coward.
Arnold lost any chance of winning my vote with this move.
