New Addiction
[geek] I just can't stop playing with the new Google Earth tool. Name this city:
OK, so the picture's not very clear here, but you can zoom in, like you're flying (that's Berlin).
Name this city:
OK, that's an easy one.
It takes a few minutes to download and install, but once you have it, it's like popcorn. The way you can zoom out, fly across an ocean, and zoom into your next search result is (letting my inner 13-year-old speak here) like totally awesome!

You can see road names, local banks, museums, bars, movie theaters, etc. etc. etc. You really gotta try this thing. [/geek]

Bad timing on this one, Edward. I'm afraid if I go zooming, I'll get to see London blowing up.
only one person was injured today, la artist...which is one too many, surely, but I lived in London for three years, and the IRA was bombing daily back then, there were riots in Tottenham (not far from where I lived) and regular murders at the Nottinghill Gate Carnival every summer, and life still went on. In other words, it might seem bleak and scary right now, but London's tougher than most cities and this too shall pass.
Have to check it out later
neato. I knew they'd do something cool with keyhole...
what's keyhole?
by the way...tilt way up and then use the up key and it's like your flying over these places...or start on New Delhi, India, type your home address and then hit enter and just enjoy the ride.
I'm easily entertained, I know...it's a blessing, really.
My understanding is that they take the feed from the keyhole satellites. Craigslist SF had an opening for a salesperson for this service a month or so ago.
Have you seen google moon? Zoom all the way in on a location and see what the moon really looks like ;)
I knew it! Capricorn One is true!
Heh, Capricorn One. Nice pullout E.
Thats really addictive. You are in trouble :)
